If you have a dog who loves to run, jump and fetch, then this is the sport for you! Flyball is a team sport in which dogs of any size and breed (including mixed breeds) may participate in.
Rev it Up's Team Membership is currently closed. We recently took on several new members and need some time to build a strong foundation for our team in order to be successful. We will be offering a quarterly "Open Practice" for anyone interested in working with their dogs outside of a class environment. Our trainers will be on hand to help you and your dog learn some of the basics in flyball. Dates for "Open Practice" will be posted on our Team Calendar. If you are interested in finding out more about Rev it Up! or observing one of our practices, please contact us at revitupflyball@yahoo.com |
Sassy (1993 - 2008)
Owned and forever Loved by Ursula Sassy was one of Rev it Up's founding dogs. She was my best friend, my partner and my shadow. Sassy introduced me to the world of dog sports, a world I could not imagine my life without today. She put her heart into every activity we took part in. We spent many wonderful years together enjoying frisbee, agility, dock diving, hiking and her favorite of all, flyball. In the lanes she had passion and every run with her was a thrill.
Sassy was an extremely loyal partner to me on and off the field. She was the first to inform everyone in our home (dogs and humans) where their place was in the pack. Her's of course was right next to me and all others underneath her throne. She had a soft side for puppies and kittens and could never resist a nice helping of ice cream, vanilla being her favorite. She made every sunrise brighter in my life and was there with me through the hardest moments along the way. Many of you did not get a chance to meet this wonderful dog. She was the epitome of Man's Best Friend, the kind of dog that could read my mind. At the tender age of 13yrs, she debuted in her first Splash Dogs competition. At the age of 13 1/2 yrs, she was the oldest dog on record to compete in a Splash Dogs competition, tell me this dog didn't have heart! On Wednesday afternoon, she layed next to me, my hand stroking her head. She went peacefully and with the person who loved her most by her side. Run free sweet Sassy Girl, I will see you again some day. |
